Ricardo was actually not in the best condition when he was sent off in a away match against Bhayangkara FC at PTIK Stadium, South Jakarta, Monday (11/19/2018).

He was injured while competing in the previous match. But the Black Pearl coach, Oswaldo Lessa, continued to lower it. Entering the second half, Oswaldo decided to replace Ricardo with Yohanis Tjo in the 49th minute.

"Ricardo was injured. Actually he couldn't play and wanted to rest. He underwent therapy this week but there was still a bit of pain, so he better rest (replaced)," Oswaldo explained.

"For the next match it might be difficult for him to play. We will find a solution for this," he added.

Something similar was expressed by Ricardo. He claimed that the injury he got today was accumulated from several matches due to full play.

"This might be an accumulation of fatigue as well because in some matches I almost always played full. And it was actually normal if finally there was a physical disturbance. But I tried to give 100 percent every time even though the conditions were not optimal," Ricardo said.

Persipura still leaves three matches until the end of this season. These three matches, including against PSMS Medan, are important so that the Persipura is not thrown into the relegation zone. After the defeat of Bhayangkara FC, Mutiara Hitam is currently ranked 12th in the standings 41 points, five points behind the degrdasi zone.

Ricardo hopes that junior players can perform optimally if he hasn't recovered when facing PSMS later.

"We will definitely give three motivations to the junior so they can have greater responsibility. Because after us, they will continue our footsteps at Persipura," he said.
